“#NYC man shot while sitting in car on Upper West Side<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

A 37-year-old man was shot while sitting inside of a car on an Upper West Side street Monday night, police said.<\/p>\n

The victim was parked near the intersection of West 72nd Street and Columbus Avenue when a dark sedan pulled up alongside him and one of the occupants began opening fire at about 10 p.m., cops said.<\/p>\n

The man was struck in the hip and later walked into Weill Cornell Medical Center on the Upper East Side, police said.<\/p>\n

He suffered non-life threatening injuries, cops said.<\/p>\n

The shooter fled the scene in the vehicle in an unknown direction. No arrests were made by early Tuesday.<\/p>\n
