{"id":348561,"date":"2021-10-05T03:00:41","date_gmt":"2021-10-05T00:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/rings-monster-modeled-after-harvey-weinstein\/"},"modified":"2021-10-05T03:00:41","modified_gmt":"2021-10-05T00:00:41","slug":"rings-monster-modeled-after-harvey-weinstein","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/rings-monster-modeled-after-harvey-weinstein\/","title":{"rendered":"#&#8217;Rings&#8217; monster modeled after Harvey Weinstein"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#&#8217;Rings&#8217; monster modeled after Harvey Weinstein<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>Peter Jackson\u2019s famed \u201cThe Lord of the Rings\u201d trilogy turns 20 this year \u2014 and star Elijah Wood has a secret to share.<\/p>\n<p>The 40-year-old claimed that a monstrous orc costume was designed to look like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2020\/03\/11\/harvey-weinstein-set-to-be-sentenced-for-rape\/\">disgraced movie producer Harvey Weinstein<\/a> as payback for some rough negotiations regarding the flick.<\/p>\n<p>Wood, who played Frodo in the film franchise, stopped by Dax Shepard\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/armchairexpertpod.com\/pods\/elijah-wood\">podcast\u00a0\u201cArmchair Expert\u201d<\/a> to discuss that anecdote involving the fantasy-adventure flick.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cLOTR\u201d franchise was based on author J. R. R. Tolkien\u2019s books, and Weinstein\u2019s then-production company, Miramax, bought the rights to the literature. <\/p>\n<p>Jackson, 59, had a specific vision for the films. However, by the mid-1990s, it <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared that the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> weren\u2019t going to be made the way he wanted, so the director reportedly asked Weinstein, 69, about taking them to other studios. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd Miramax said, \u2018We will only give it back to you in turnaround, but two things have to happen. One: You have to go get it set up this weekend. And two: Whoever agrees has to agree to make all three at once,\u2019\u201d according to Shepard, a professed fan of the films.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe window of time was insane,\u201d Wood explained. Jackson shopped it around Hollywood and wound up striking a deal with New Line Cinema founder Bob Shaye, \u201cwho said, \u2018We have to do three,\u2019 which is insane,\u201d the \u201cWilfred\u201d actor continued. \u201cAn incredible risk.
