\nWill\u00a0Dog The Bounty Hunter<\/strong> catch\u00a0Brian Laundrie<\/strong>? Or will he just end up collaring another TV show?<\/p>\n

We told you last week about how the manhunter was using the search for\u00a0Gabby Petito<\/strong>\u2018s boyfriend, the most famous fugitive in the country at the moment, to try to drum up interest in a new reality show. It makes sense. He hasn\u2019t had this many headlines in over a decade! Well, not ones that didn\u2019t have to censor racial epithets anyway.<\/p>\n

Hey, you can\u2019t blame the man for trying to reclaim what he used to be famous for before all the scandal \u2014 so long as he\u2019s also<\/em> serious about catching Laundrie and maybe bringing some sense of closure to the family of the victim.<\/p>\n

So far it seems like he\u2019s legitimately searching. It was his work that led to the Laundrie family\u2019s lawyer being forced to admit they had taken Brian camping in the days immediately following his return without Gabby.<\/p>\n

But how is the hunt for a new show going?<\/p>\n

Not well when it comes to his old home. According to a report from\u00a0TheWrap<\/em>, Duane \u201cDog\u201d Chapman<\/strong>\u00a0brought the idea for a reality show to\u00a0A&E<\/strong>, the cable network which originally aired\u00a0Dog The Bounty Hunter<\/em> for nine seasons. This show would not just be playing the hits \u2014 it would be a weekly chronicle of his hunt for Brian.<\/p>\n

Wait, the hunt for Brian is<\/em> the show?? That seems like a bit of a conflict of interest with the desire to get this search finished as soon as possible, doesn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

In any case A&E gave him a hard NO faster than you can say \u201cswampland.\u201d According to the outlet, the network \u201cimmediately passed\u201d on the premise. Huh. Is it that they didn\u2019t want to look like they were sensationalizing such a disturbing live case? Or, more likely, was it that their relationship with Dog was dead for good??<\/p>\n

Of course, A&E aren\u2019t the only game<\/a> in town looking for true crime TV. According to a source talking to TMZ<\/em>, multiple networks\u00a0have<\/em> contacted the mulleted manhunter over the past few days about doing a show. Their sources also<\/em> say the only filming that has been done so far is by Dog\u2019s new bride Francie Frane<\/strong>\u2026 Huh\u2026<\/p>\n
