{"id":349225,"date":"2021-10-06T21:15:04","date_gmt":"2021-10-06T18:15:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/kyrie-irving-vaccine-narrative-is-bad\/"},"modified":"2021-10-06T21:15:04","modified_gmt":"2021-10-06T18:15:04","slug":"kyrie-irving-vaccine-narrative-is-bad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/kyrie-irving-vaccine-narrative-is-bad\/","title":{"rendered":"#Kyrie Irving-vaccine narrative is bad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Kyrie Irving-vaccine narrative is bad<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>Michele Roberts, the departing chief of the Players Association, wants every NBA player to get vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>But she\u2019s not apologizing for the odd cases, such as Kyrie Irving\u2019s scenario with the Nets, in which he\u2019s currently prohibited from home Nets\u2019 practices and home Nets\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the ribbon-cutting ceremony in the Bronx for Earl Monroe\u2019s Renaissance Basketball Charter School, Roberts said the NBA players should be supported for their high vaccination rate instead of pilloried for the high-profile case of the Nets superstar point guard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not going comment on Kyrie because that\u2019s what Kyrie will be doing, making a decision,\u2019\u2019 Roberts told The Post. \u201cBut I will say you guys need to stop focusing on that 20-plus players who are not vaccinated. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur numbers are 95-, 96-percent (vaccinated). That well beats the national average. Maybe we will, maybe we won\u2019t. But we\u2019re still trying. But at this point I\u2019m not ashamed about our players or asking forgiveness. Because we\u2019re doing way better than the rest of the world. That\u2019s just me. The union has voted it should be a voluntary decision. I\u2019m not the choir to be preached to. I am the choir. But our rate is something we <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>laud and are proud of. I\u2019m not going to apologize for the voluntary nature of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was a \u201cWho\u2019s who\u201d of NBA cognoscenti at Monroe\u2019s school affair. The Knicks legendary guard opened a Bronx school with regular curriculum but adds a basketball component to teach\u00a0underprivileged students the skills used in the business of basketball\u00a0(lawyer, agent, physical therapist, coaching, scouting, mathematical analytics, journalist etc.).<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner Adam Silver was on hand for the milestone event. Top members of Knicks brass \u2013 president Leon Rose, senior executive William Wesley, GM Scott Perry and assistant GM Allan Houston \u2014\u00a0were also on hand. <\/p>\n<p>Silver wouldn\u2019t comment on the Irving issue as he is holding a press conference shortly to address those matters.<\/p>\n<p>The initial freshman class of close to 100 students gave Silver the biggest round of cheers when he was introduced to speak. Silver told the students, \u201cFor every NBA player, there\u2019s 100 related jobs.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The school was eight years in the making \u2013 the brainchild of legendary publicist and filmmaker Dan Klores, who introduced the Knicks brass as \u201cthe four, five people ready to build a championship team.\u2019\u2019\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
