Apart from equity investment, the token fund will also invest in cryptocurrencies and nonfungible tokens (NFTs). <\/p>\n<p>In order to provide regulated investment opportunities, Bitkraft <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/adviserinfo.sec.gov\/firm\/summary\/305847\">received<\/a> an investment advisor registration from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in June 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The new token fund is led by Piers Kicks, a founding partner in the investment arm of\u00a0crypto research firm Delphi Digital. Kicks <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/archive.esportsobserver.com\/bitkraft-ventures-new-hires\/\">joined<\/a> Bitkraft earlier this year to lead the company\u2019s investment efforts in crypto and NFTs.<\/p>\n<p>Bitkraft stated that the fund has already closed six investments including projects like Yield Guild <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Game<\/a>s (YGG), Immutable, Alethea AI and Horizon Games.\u00a0Both YGG and Alethea are direct token investments, Kicks told Cointelegraph. \u201cWe were only able to announce the funding after final closing, but have been actively deploying from it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>While the fund has mainly invested in startups building on the Ethereum blockchain, Kicks stated, \u201cWe adopt a chain-agnostic <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach and assess each project on a case-by-case basis. The venture capital firm has more than $540 million in assets under management as of Oct. 1, 2021, with a portfolio spanning more than 60 companies across North America, Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n<p>The gaming industry has proved ripe for crypto adoption, with many new use cases for decentralized finance (DeFi) and NFTs. Blockchain game Axie Infinity has emerged as one of the most popular Ethereum-based NFT games this year, with its native token\u00a0AXS reaching a new all-time high above $155 on Monday.
