{"id":350343,"date":"2021-10-09T01:41:23","date_gmt":"2021-10-08T22:41:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/accused-nyc-subway-shover-indicted-for-attempted-murder\/"},"modified":"2021-10-09T01:41:23","modified_gmt":"2021-10-08T22:41:23","slug":"accused-nyc-subway-shover-indicted-for-attempted-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/accused-nyc-subway-shover-indicted-for-attempted-murder\/","title":{"rendered":"#Accused NYC subway shover indicted for attempted murder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Accused NYC subway shover indicted for attempted murder<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>A mentally ill woman who shoved a female straphanger into the side of a train as it pulled into Times Square has been indicted for attempted murder \u2014 and one of her prior victims said it\u2019s \u201cwhat she deserved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anthonia Egegbara, 29, was not in Manhattan Criminal Court Wednesday when a grand jury returned an indictment charging her with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault and second-degree assault for the shocking attack Monday on Lenny Javier that left her with a broken nose and fractured chin.<\/p>\n<p>Three months earlier Egegbara was released without bail after viciously pummeling stranger Jasmine Robles on a Harlem train \u2014 knocking out her front tooth, breaking her nose and leaving her with a black eye. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s what she deserved,\u201d Robles told the Post of the indictment. \u201cShe almost took someone\u2019s life. Mango<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Egegbara, who suffers from schizophrenia, was charged with third-degree assault for the July 5 attack on Robles \u2014 one of many crimes that judges can no longer set bail on under a controversial 2020 reform law.<\/p>\n<p>Robles begged the Manhattan District Attorney to hit her with a more serious rap so she wouldn\u2019t be on the street. But experts told The Post misdemeanor assault is the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ropriate charge under the law given that Egegbara did not use a weapon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey failed us as victims,\u201d Robles said of the justice system. \u201cThey continued to keep her on the streets.
