Toking up could be a thing of the past for New Yorkers who can now sip their marijuana rather than smoke it. <\/p>\n

A new \u201cbeverage enhancer\u201d from cannabis mega-corp Curaleaf offers users a dainty, five milligram liquid dose of THC for just $35 per plastic bottle. <\/p>\n

There are 30 servings of \u201cSelect Squeeze\u201d per bottle, offering a \u201cmore social<\/a>, less anxious high\u201d than other marijuana products, said Jessie Kater, senior vice president for innovation and R&D at Curaleaf.<\/p>\n

Because the THC is formulated so absorption begins in the user\u2019s mouth, users can feel its effects in about 15 minutes, the company says. <\/p>\n

So far only Curaleaf\u2019s watermelon flavor is for sale in New York, where only card-carrying medical marijuana patients can legally purchase it. Three other flavors \u2014 lemon-lime, hint of sweet, and strawberry lemonade \u2014 are on offer in recreational markets in other states.<\/p>\n

The New York board that will regulate medical marijuana \u2014 including by licensing recreational sellers \u2014 still has four vacancies.<\/p>\n
