It\u2019s only possible to download Google Photos albums from the desktop or mobile site. Unfortunately, it can\u2019t be done from the iPhone or Android application. Regardless, it\u2019s very simple to do, and the process is the same on desktop and mobile.<\/p>\n

First, go to photos.google.com<\/a> in a web browser such as Google Chrome. Select the album you\u2019d like to download.<\/p>\n

Next, select the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner.<\/p>\n

Select \u201cDownload All\u201d from the menu.<\/p>\n

A new tab will open briefly, then you will begin to download a ZIP file of all the photos and videos. From there, you can unzip the file to see its contents.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s as easy as that! This is a great thing to do as an extra measure of security. Just in case something happens to your library in Google Photos, you\u2019ll have offline backups for safekeeping.<\/p>\n
