\n Better now than when the season restarts.<\/p>\n

Kristaps Porzingis was forced to miss the Dallas Mavericks\u2019 scrimmage Sunday against the Indiana Pacers because he forgot to take his coronavirus test on Saturday, forcing the former Knick into a one-day quarantine. Porzingis, 24, was expected to be able to return to team activities on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe just forgot to get tested,\u201d Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said, according to the Dallas Morning News<\/a>. \u201cWhen that happ<\/a>ens, for safety reasons, he\u2019s unable to join the team the following day. He\u2019s getting retested today and I believe that he\u2019ll able to rejoin us tomorrow.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was very contrite and really felt bad about letting the team down,\u201d Carlisle continued. \u201cSomething like this is something that I think all of us can take as a cautionary tale. We\u2019ve just got to remember that the details of the situation that we\u2019re involved in are very, very important.\u201d<\/p>\n

Porzingis isn\u2019t the first player at the NBA bubble to be forced into such a quarantine. Paul Millsap missed the Denver Nuggets\u2019 scrimmage on Saturday for forgetting to take a test.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a small price to pay compared to the 10-day quarantine Clippers guard Lou Williams is under. Williams, who had an excused absence from Orlando, was spotted at the Magic City strip<\/a> club in Atlanta, and he later admitted to the NBA he stopped there to get food. As a result, Williams will miss the Clippers\u2019 first two game<\/a>s of the restart.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
