Are you overwhelming yourself with the number of tabs you have open in Safari? Using the \u201cTab Groups\u201d that arrived with\u00a0iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, you can organize them so your browser stays nice and tidy.<\/p>\n

Similar to how tab groups work in Google Chrome\u00a0and Microsoft Edge, you can group several tabs together and give them a label. This allows you to easily find and pull up your tabs again when you need them without cluttering up your view.<\/p>\n

First, you\u2019ll need to open a few tabs in Safari to use the tabs group feature. After that,\u00a0tap the \u201cTabs\u201d button in the bottom-left corner.<\/p>\n

The tab count of open tabs will app<\/a>ear on the bottom bar. Tap on the tab count to open the \u201cTab Groups\u201d menu.<\/p>\n

In the \u201cTabs Group\u201d menu, you\u2019ll get two options. The \u201cNew Empty Tab Group\u201d means you\u2019ll get to make a tab group first and then add the tabs to it. If you want to create a group from the open tabs, you\u2019ll need to choose the \u201cNew Tab Group from X Tabs\u201d (X is a number) option.<\/p>\n

Add a name for your new tab group and hit the \u201cSave\u201d button.<\/p>\n

Safari will switch you to a new tab group and show you the grid of open tabs. The name of the tab group will appear on the bottom bar. Tap \u201cDone\u201d to save the changes.<\/p>\n

After creating a tab group in Safari, there are a few things you can do.<\/p>\n

Tap the \u201c+\u201d (plus) button to add a new tab to a tab group.<\/p>\n

Hit the \u201cx\u201d cross sign in the top-right of the tab preview card to remove it from the group.<\/p>\n

Tap on an open tab and drag it around to reorder it.<\/p>\n

Hard-press on a tab, select \u201cArrange Tabs By\u201d from the long-press menu and choose \u201cArrange Tabs By Title\u201d or \u201cArrange Tabs By Websites.\u201d<\/p>\n

You can always copy the links from the open tabs in a tab group to save them before closing all the tabs at once.<\/p>\n
