“#Candace Cameron Bure Still Has ‘PTSD’ From Her Stint On The View!

\nCandace Cameron Bure<\/strong> is ready to open up about her time on The View<\/em> \u2014 but she might need to do some deep breathing exercises first.<\/p>\n

The Fuller House<\/em> star stopped by the ABC<\/strong> show\u2019s Behind the Table<\/em> podcast this week and reflected on her co-hosting stint from 2015 to 2016 for seasons 19 and 20 \u2014 which was app<\/a>arently so traumatizing, the star got a \u201cpit\u201d in her stomach just talking about it!<\/p>\n

The actress shared:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe stress and the anxiety \u2014 I actually have a pit in my stomach right now. There was only one type of stress that I\u2019ve ever felt in my life, that came from that show. And I [have] PTSD, like, I can feel it. It was so difficult, and to manage that emotional stress was very, very hard.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Bure explained that the topics being discussed every day were a big part of that stress, as she felt \u201cpressure\u201d to represent conservatives on national television. She continued:<\/p>\n

\u201c[I was] just trying to understand and have a general<\/a> grasp of topics that I didn\u2019t want to talk about or didn\u2019t care about.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Even if she did get a general grasp on a certain topic, though, that didn\u2019t stop Cameron from getting \u201csick to [her] stomach\u201d over fear of debating with the other panelists. She added:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I felt like I was going into a show that I didn\u2019t have a clear opinion about or it was something that I was legitimately nervous to talk about because I did have an opinion about it but I knew I was the only one at the table that had my opinion, I would just get sick to my stomach. I hated that feeling. And then I\u2019m like, \u2018I don\u2019t know who\u2019s going to come at me.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

CCB explained her \u201cemotional health\u201d started to suffer after the show\u2019s grueling schedule \u201ctook its toll\u201d on her body \u2014 an issue she also brought up recently while speaking to People<\/em> for for The View<\/i>\u2018s 25th anniversary. She told the outlet:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was asked to join the table, the show was supposed to steer towards more ever-green topics and less about politics. Enter Donald Trump<\/strong> into the presidential race. It changed everything\u2026 The lighter version of the show I thought I was going to work for suddenly became solely about politics. I felt like I was back in school, doing 4-5 hours of homework a night. It was exhausting. Along with that, I was travel<\/a>ing back and forth from Los Angeles to New York every week to be with my family on the weekends. I\u2019m surprised I kept up with my schedule for as long as I did.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

While the star typically ended up \u201ccrying before the show\u201d because of the stress, she insisted she\u2019s still \u201cvery grateful\u201d for the gig, sharing on the pod:<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know that I regret anything, honestly. I feel like there were so many wonderful takeaways from the show. And as difficult as that job was, I\u2019m very, very grateful for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hey, being the token conservative on The View<\/em> panel\u2019s a tough job, but someone\u2019s gotta do it!<\/p>\n
