\u201cEvery member of my family fights this fight,\u201d Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) says in the official trailer for Mayor of Kingstown<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Along with that video, Paramount+ unveiled the key art (below) for the new drama from Yellowstone<\/em><\/a> co-creator Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon following the McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Mich., where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. The series<\/a> tackles theme<\/a>s of systemic racism, corruption, and inequality and provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe get paid to give advice, so let me give you some,\u201d Mike tells Iris (Emma Laird). \u201cWherever you\u2019re from, you should go back. You won\u2019t make it here.\u201d And based on what we see of her at the end of the preview, it may have been sound advice. \u201cDidn\u2019t even make it a month before this place tore me to pieces,\u201d she says. \u201cOh, I got some bad news<\/a> for you: This is not torn to pieces, not even close. It\u2019s coming,\u201d Mike warns.<\/p>\n

But while he may be telling others to get out of town, it\u2019s a different story when it comes to his future there, even if he\u2019s always hated the place and wanted to leave. \u201cI don\u2019t know how to leave,\u201d he admits.<\/p>\n
