When an iPhone user reacts to a message with a \u201clike\u201d or a \u201claugh,\u201d Android users get a separate text announcing the action. It\u2019s pretty annoying.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Problem_With_iMessage_Reactions_on_Android\"><\/span>The Problem With iMessage Reactions on Android<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Here\u2019s what happens: the iPhone user selects the \u201clike\u201d expression in a conversation. They\u2014and other iMessage users in the conversation\u2014see a thumbs-up emoji on the message. Android users, however, receive a new message from that person that reads \u201cLiked \u2018[message contents].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So what can you do to stop getting these annoying messages? Well, nothing, really. You can\u2019t block them completely or remove them from the conversation. However, we can do something to stop getting notifications for them.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Stop_iMessage_Reaction_Notifications\"><\/span>How to Stop iMessage Reaction Notifications<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>We will be using an app called \u201cMacroDroid\u201d to target the notifications for those reactions. We\u2019ll enter keywords to identify those messages, and then MacroDroid will im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely dismiss the notification if it matches. That way you won\u2019t be bothered by them.<\/p>\n<p>First, download <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.arlosoft.macrodroid\">MacroDroid<\/a> from the Google Play Store on your Android device. At the time of writing in October 2021, there are five iMessage reactions: Loved, Liked, Disliked, Laughed at, Emphasized, and Questioned. When a text includes these keywords, we want MacroDroid to dismiss it.<\/p>\n<p>Select \u201cContains\u201d and then enter one of these five phrases in the text box. It\u2019s important to include the quotation mark following the phrase. You just won\u2019t be getting bothered by the notifications for them.<\/p>\n<p>Now, fix your iMessage problems, Apple.
