{"id":353109,"date":"2021-10-15T09:40:22","date_gmt":"2021-10-15T06:40:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/flow-integrates-filecoin-storage-services-to-make-nfts-more-decentralized\/"},"modified":"2021-10-15T09:40:22","modified_gmt":"2021-10-15T06:40:22","slug":"flow-integrates-filecoin-storage-services-to-make-nfts-more-decentralized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/flow-integrates-filecoin-storage-services-to-make-nfts-more-decentralized\/","title":{"rendered":"# Flow integrates Filecoin storage services to make NFTs more decentralized"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong># Flow integrates Filecoin storage services to make NFTs more decentralized <\/strong>&#8221;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.cointelegraph.com\/images\/840_aHR0cHM6Ly9zMy5jb2ludGVsZWdyYXBoLmNvbS91cGxvYWRzLzIwMjEtMTAvMTYyN2JmZDEtNGZiZi00MDM1LWI1NDktZjc3NGYxMDE3ZDM0LmpwZw==.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-128018ef>Filecoin has officially become the storage collaborator for the Flow Blockchain. <\/p>\n<p>Filecoin said in an Oct. 13 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/filecoin.io\/blog\/posts\/filecoin-becomes-official-storage-collaborator-for-flow-blockchain\/\">announcement<\/a> that the move was a part of a push to ensure holders&#8217; and issuers&#8217; NFTs are &#8220;securely available everywhere.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>The announcement follows from a previous move in August in Which D<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>er Labs was working to integrate Filecoin\u2019s storage services with the Flow Blockchain. <\/p>\n<p>The collaboration enables Flow users to mint NFTs, leverage InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) content addressing, and store the tokens in decentralized storage hosted by Filecoin. <\/p>\n<p>According to Filecoin, IPFS content addressing is a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.ipfs.io\/2021-06-03-ipfs-filecoin-content-persistence\/\">solution<\/a> to location addressing which retrieves online information from specific locations on the web, such as from behind URLs. Filecoin asserts that this method has \u201cobvious downsides\u201d as the data relies on centralized entities who own the locations, and therefore can \u201ccontrol the content.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn content-based addressing, content is no longer retrieved from single locations on the web. September was a big month for Dapper, with the firm signing multiple partnerships with top firms, along with raising $250 million in funding. <\/p>\n<p>Cointelegraph reported on Sept. 14 that Google had partnered with Dapper to serve as a network operator for Flow.
