However, Balchunas tweeted earlier today that Varlkyrie\u2019s fund will \u201clikely\u201d launch on Oct. 20 or Oct. 21, adding that ProShares will have the \u201cmarket to itself\u201d for the time being.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Update: Valkyrie not going live tomorrow. Likely looking to launch Wed or Thu tho, but we&#8217;ll see. Anyway, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24BITO&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$BITO<\/a> will have market to itself tomorrow. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/G2Ucit6yxM\">https:\/\/t.co\/G2Ucit6yxM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Eric Balchunas (@EricBalchunas) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EricBalchunas\/status\/1450187923454894081?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 18, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>Balchunas also <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EricBalchunas\/status\/1450214934403497989\/photo\/1\">noted<\/a> that Valkyrie had updated its ticker from BTFD to BTF in its <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lication.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Invesco_bows_out_of_race_to_launch_futures-based_Bitcoin_ETF\"><\/span>Invesco bows out of race to launch futures-based Bitcoin ETF<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Despite the bullish sentiment surrounding the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approving the United States\u2019 first Bitcoin ETF, Invesco announced it had <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.barrons.com\/articles\/invesco-suddenly-pulls-its-bitcoin-etf-application-51634595480\">withdrawn<\/a> its application for a futures-based ETF on Oct. 18.<\/p>\n<p>While onlookers had predicted Invesco\u2019s futures ETF would receive a greenlight from the SEC this week, the firm <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.barrons.com\/articles\/invesco-suddenly-pulls-its-bitcoin-etf-application-51634595480\">revealed<\/a> on Oct. 18 that it had withdrawn its application, adding its intentions to work toward launching a spot Bitcoin ETF in partnership with crypto broker-dealer Galaxy Digital. Invesco stated: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe have determined not to pursue the launch of a Bitcoin futures ETF in the im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>te near-term; however we will continue to work in partnership with Galaxy Digital to offer investors a full shelf of products with exposure to this transformative asset class, including pursuing a physically-backed, digital asset ETF.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><em>Related: SEC extends four Bitcoin ETF deadlines by 45 days<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, during an Oct. 19 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2Y8zf1B02EQ\">episode<\/a> of Anthony Pompliano\u2019s \u201cBest Business Show,\u201d Seyffart and Balchunas argued that the approval of a spot BTC-backed ETF is unlikely to happen anytime soon.<\/p>\n<p>Balchunas asserted that SEC chairman Gary Gensler is much more \u201ccomfortable\u201d with Bitcoin futures-based ETFs as they offer greater consumer protections than spot-backed funds. <\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
