This allows you to continue using the app but with an improved experience.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"admonishment_note\"><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> This how-to uses an iPhone for demonstration purposes, but the steps and options work the same way on iPad.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Display_Zoom_Versus_Accessibility_Zoom\"><\/span>Display Zoom Versus Accessibility Zoom<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You do have another option to magnify your app and that\u2019s Display Zoom. The feature is a handy one but does have limitations.<\/p>\n<p>With Display Zoom, you magnify everything on your screen, from your Home screen and Dock to the apps you use. You cannot turn it off and on as easily, change the magnification level, or use a smaller window instead of full screen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED:<\/strong> <strong><em>How to Magnify Your iPhone Screen Using Display Zoom<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the Accessibility Zoom feature gives you complete control. You can turn it off and on by tapping, use whatever magnification level suits your needs, and enable either full screen or window zoom. Plus it offers settings for focus and typing, keyboard shortcuts, a controller, and zoom filters.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-758855\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/DisplayAndAccessibilityZoom-iPhoneMagnifyApp.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Display Zoom and Accessibility Zoom\" width=\"464\" height=\"500\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>For these reasons, using Zoom to magnify any app on demand, rather than having your screen zoomed at all times, is ideal.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Enable_Accessibility_Zoom_on_iPhone_and_iPad\"><\/span>Enable Accessibility Zoom on iPhone and iPad<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Zoom is an Accessibility feature that you\u2019ll need to enable first to use. Open your Settings and select \u201cAccessibility.\u201d Tap \u201cZoom\u201d and then turn on the toggle for Zoom on the following screen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-758856\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/SettingsAccessibilityZoom-iPhoneMagnifyApp.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Enable Zoom in Settings, Accessibility\" width=\"650\" height=\"466\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The feature is now on and ready when you are. But before you try using it, let\u2019s look at a few options you may want to adjust first, depending on how you plan to use Zoom.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Follow_Focus_and_Smart_Typing\"><\/span>Follow Focus and Smart Typing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If the app you want to magnify uses a keyboard, you may want to enable Follow Focus, which also gives you the option to enable Smart Typing. Follow Focus tracks your selections, cursor, and typing. Then use three fingers to drag and move around the screen.
