In a March 2021 marketing campaign, Taco Bell <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/taco-bells-nft-crypto-tacos-050329382.html\">launched<\/a> a new NFT collection emerging as the first among fast-food chains to offer collectible tokens.<\/p>\n<p>Taco Bell NFTs (Taco Art) comprise artistic illustrations of its fast-food offerings, with some buyers paying upward of 10 Ether (ETH) for one Taco Bell NFT. According to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tacobell?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1368807880434982912%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fd-26190478951210366809.ampproject.net%2F2110011758000%2Fframe.html\">tweets<\/a> from the restaurant chain, earnings generated from the sale were donated to charity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Burger_King\"><\/span>Burger King<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Not one to be left behind, Burger King <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.restaurantdive.com\/news\/burger-kings-nft-strategy-matures-beyond-stunts-toward-real-engagement\/606924\/\">announced<\/a> its entry into the NFT space with the release of a range of digital collectibles under a marketing campaign dubbed \u201cKeep It Real Meals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Every Burger King customer will be able to scan the QR code that comes with their meal to receive one of three collectible <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> pieces. Once a player receives all three, they will receive a fourth token that could be a reward of a digital collectible, a year\u2019s supply of burgers or a call with one of the campaign\u2019s celebrity spokespeople.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"McDonalds\"><\/span>McDonald\u2019s<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Despite China\u2019s ban on nearly everything crypto-related, McDonald\u2019s China branch will release a set of 188 NFTs to its employees and customers as part of a giveaway celebration of the franchise\u2019s 31st anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>The NFTs consist of three-dimensional artistic designs of McDonald\u2019s China\u2019s new office headquarters in a project titled \u201cBig Mac Rubik\u2019s Cube,\u201d and they were built in partnership with digital asset creation agency Cocafe.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pizza_Hut\"><\/span>Pizza Hut<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Canadian subsidiary of Pizza Hut, a fast-food chain famous for its all-you-can-eat pizza buffet, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newswire.ca\/news-releases\/pizza-hut-launches-new-1-byte-favourites-pizza-824510721.html\">released<\/a> an NFT project called \u201c1 Byte Favourites,\u201d which are digital NFT images of pizza slices.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a March 17 announcement, the company said it would issue NFT images of a slice of pizza every other week. Each slice and NFT image would come with a different recipe, and interested buyers will have access to the NFTs on Rarible.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Pizza Hut Canada chief marketing officer Daniel Meymen said that the NFT campaign was \u201can opportunity to give fans another way to get their hands on their favorite Pizza Hut recipes, even if it\u2019s virtual.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_new_marketing_medium_for_big_brands\"><\/span>The new marketing medium for big brands<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Like every other popular trend online, marketers have hopped onto the NFT bandwagon to get a piece of the pie and grab people\u2019s attention by using the novel technology.<\/p>\n<p>Fast food brands and other consumer good brands are quickly discovering that selling their products with the NFT badge and other digital collectible jargon as part of their campaign is a winning strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Even in cases where the collectibles are not limited or rare, the masses have continued to buy NFTs at exorbitantly high prices.
