{"id":357980,"date":"2021-10-26T06:36:51","date_gmt":"2021-10-26T03:36:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/family-wont-have-a-funeral-havent-heard-from-cops\/"},"modified":"2021-10-26T06:36:51","modified_gmt":"2021-10-26T03:36:51","slug":"family-wont-have-a-funeral-havent-heard-from-cops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/family-wont-have-a-funeral-havent-heard-from-cops\/","title":{"rendered":"#family won&#8217;t have a funeral, haven&#8217;t heard from cops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#family won&#8217;t have a funeral, haven&#8217;t heard from cops<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>Brian Laundrie\u2019s parents won\u2019t be having a traditional funeral for their son, a family attorney confirmed to The Post.<\/p>\n<p>Laundrie will be cremated though there are no plans about what will be done with his ashes once they have been returned to the family, attorney Steve Bertolino said.<\/p>\n<p>Remains of the 23-year-old were recovered in a Florida nature park last week, but a coroner was not able to determine a cause of death.<\/p>\n<p>The remains were mostly bones after days or even weeks of decay \u2014 as well as exposure to the elements and wildlife, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Laundrie\u2019s bones have been sent to an anthropologist for \u201cfurther evaluation,\u201d Bertolino said. Authorities are reportedly hopeful the notebook is \u201csalvageable,\u201d though it\u2019s not clear if there is anything written inside that could shed light on Laundrie\u2019s final minutes, or on the case of his girlfriend Gabby Petito, who was found dead in a Wyoming park last month.<\/p>\n<p>Petito, 22, had left on a cross-country road <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a> with Laundrie over the summer, but Laundrie returned to his parents\u2019 Florida home alone on Sept. 1. They thought he returned later that day, mistaking his mother in a baseball hat for Brian, officers <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/news\/3932299\/brian-laundrie-escapes-hidden-cameras\/\">told the U.S. Sun<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Petito\u2019s remains were found Sept. 19 after the case drew national headlines.
