{"id":358171,"date":"2021-10-26T17:05:01","date_gmt":"2021-10-26T14:05:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/uptick-in-bird-flu-cases-in-china-this-year-alarms-experts\/"},"modified":"2021-10-26T17:05:01","modified_gmt":"2021-10-26T14:05:01","slug":"uptick-in-bird-flu-cases-in-china-this-year-alarms-experts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/uptick-in-bird-flu-cases-in-china-this-year-alarms-experts\/","title":{"rendered":"#Uptick in bird flu cases in China this year alarms experts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Uptick in bird flu cases in China this year alarms experts<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>An uptick in bird flu cases in China this year is alarming virologists who say a more infectious strain of the\u00a0potentially deadly virus could be spreading.<\/p>\n<p>There have been 21 human infections linked to the H5N6 strain of the bird flu in China this year \u2013 compared to the five reported in 2020, according to the World Health Organization.<\/p>\n<p>Experts told <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/environment\/rise-human-bird-flu-cases-china-shows-risk-fast-changing-variants-health-experts-2021-10-26\">Reuters <\/a>the strain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears to have changed and may be more infectious to people.<\/p>\n<p>The WHO said further investigation was \u201curgently\u201d needed to understand the risks and the rise in human infection.<\/p>\n<p>So far, there are no confirmed cases of human-to-human transmission of the H5N6, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/docs\/default-source\/wpro---documents\/emergency\/surveillance\/avian-influenza\/ai-20211022.pdf?sfvrsn=30d65594_176\">according to WHO<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the confirmed cases out of China have been linked to poultry contact.<\/p>\n<p>The latest reported case involved a 60-year-old woman who was admitted to hospital in a critical condition in Hunan province on Oct. 13, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe increase in\u00a0human\u00a0cases\u00a0in\u00a0China\u00a0this year is of concern.
