Till now, if you decided to switch, <span>you had to mostly start over with no chat history on the other platform, or use a bunch of tools to clumsily move your stuff over without a guarantee of success.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/fast.wistia.net\/embed\/iframe\/l8c5ayh3on?videoFoam=true&amp;autoPlay=true\" title=\"\" allowtransparency=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" class=\"wistia_embed\" name=\"wistia_embed\" allowfullscreen=\"\" msallowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, WhatsApp is now <span>rolling out a feature to easily transfer your chats<\/span>\u00a0from iPhones to Android phones. However, the feature will be only compatible with phones running Android 12, the latest version of the OS.<\/p>\n<p>To transfer your chats, you\u2019ll need a USB-C to Lightning cable, which is shipped with last year\u2019s and this year\u2019s iPhone models. If you\u2019re using a device from any other manufacturer you might have to wait for the update. Some manufacturers like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/tech\/mobile\/android-12-is-now-available-but-will-your-phone-be-compatible\/\">Asus and OnePlus<\/a> have made their Android 12-based software <span>available in beta \u2014 but you might want to wait for a stable release before moving your content over.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you use a Samsung phone, follow <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/faq.whatsapp.com\/general\/chats\/how-to-migrate-your-whatsapp-data-from-iphone-to-a-samsung-phone\">this guide<\/a> to transfer your WhatsApp chats from an iPhone.
