IMDb TV revealed more about the upcoming comedy in a press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cIMDb TV announced a greenlight for Primo<\/i> (working title), a new comedy series from Shea Serrano and Michael Schur. The single-camera series, inspired by Serrano\u2019s life growing up in San Antonio, will stream exclusively in the U.S. and UK on IMDb TV, Amazon\u2019s premium free streaming service.<\/p>\n

Primo<\/i> is a heartwarming and highly entertaining coming-of-age comedy about a teenager balancing college aspirations, societal expectations, and a hectic home life anchored by his single mom and five uncles. The half-hour series is written and executive produced by Serrano, a New York Times best-selling author whose childhood stories are the foundation for this semi-autobiographical comedy.<\/p>\n

Serrano serves as creator and executive producer for the series, alongside executive producers Michael Schur via Fremulon, David Miner for 3 Arts Entertainment, and Morgan Sackett. Primo<\/i> is produced by Amazon Studios and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.<\/p>\n
