Luke Largess, said in a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/journalnow.com\/news\/local\/former-hospital-executive-wins-a-10-million-jury-v[%e2%80%a6]n-a-reverse\/article_a2dae946-36bf-11ec-81d6-7fa1b096caed.html\">statement to the Winston-Salem Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuvall was a strong advocate of diversity at Novant. We believe the punitive damages award is a message that an employer cannot terminate and replace employees in order to achieve greater diversity in the workforce,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The healthcare company had argued that Duvall was fired because he had poor leadership skills.<\/p>\n<p>A rep for Novant Health said the company was dis<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ointed by Tueday\u2019s verdict.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are extremely disappointed with the verdict as we believe it is not supported by the evidence presented at trial, which includes our reason for Mr. Duvall\u2019s termination,\u201d  spokeswoman, Megan Rivers, told the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>paper. \u201cWe will pursue all legal options, including appeal, over the next several weeks and months.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
