There, she follows an aspiring starlet named Sandie (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/09\/19\/anya-taylor-joy-looks-like-a-sexy-belle-at-2021-emmys\/?_ga=2.228085147.788606032.1635344562-984975948.1632110729\">played by real-life fashion plate Anya Taylor-Joy<\/a>), as she descends into degradation and doom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast Night\u2019s\u201d Soho abounds with grime, gore and ghouls galore \u2014 yet even at its most ghastly, it exudes a seductive glamour, thanks to costume designer Odile Dicks-Mireaux.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe clothes needed to be beautiful enough that Eloise would then feel inspired [in her own contemporary designs],\u201d Dicks-Mireaux told The Post. \u201cBut they also had to be as authentic to the period as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" era \u2014 including Roman Polanski\u2019s stylish thriller \u201cRepulsion\u201d and the teen exploitation flick \u201cBeat Girl\u201d \u2014 and studied ingenues like Brigitte Bardot (whose tousled blond locks inspired Taylor-Joy\u2019s mane in the movie), actress Julie Christie and singer Cilla Black.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" a theater world \u2014 where people came into town dressed up and put their best jewels on,\u201d said Dicks-Mireaux, calling the area \u201cflashy.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<div razzmatazz for Taylor-Joy\u2019s first look for the film, a stunning peach chiffon tent dress that she wears to the famed Cafe de Paris nightclub.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat actually came from a paper pattern that I found,\u201d Dicks-Mireaux admitted. \u201cAt the time, a lot of women \u2014 including myself and my mother \u2014\u00a0made their own dresses, and that dress had a pattern whose shape was quite simple.\u201d That was key, since Sandie is a wide-eyed ingenue with no money, and would have had to sew her own frocks.<\/p>\n<p>In other words: \u201cIt couldn\u2019t be high fashion, but it needed to look sophisticated enough to get into the Cafe de Paris.\u201d Dicks-Mireaux based the pinkish hue on a photograph of Twiggy wearing a similar dress. \u201cIt\u2019s such a beautiful color \u2026 and it goes great with blond hair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The white vinyl coat that both Sandie and Eloise wear throughout the film, meanwhile, was initially supposed to be black, inspired by the sleek black mac Petula Clark wears in a video of her singing her hit \u201cDowntown\u201d (which Taylor-Joy also performs in the movie). She then found a white vintage coat in a costume shop that fit Taylor-Joy like a glove. She also found white space-age Courr\u00e8ges boots that she had remade in the actress\u2019s size. <\/p>\n<p>The coat was so fabulous that the filmmakers rewrote the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a> to have McKenzie\u2019s character \u2014 newly obsessed with Sandie \u2014 go into a vintage shop and buy a similar style. \u201cIt just came out of trying on things with the girls and always keeping the collaboration and dialogue between everybody open.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But probably the biggest surprise came from Terence Stamp, the 1960s heartthrob who plays a rather nefarious barfly in \u201cLast Night in Soho.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI watched his earlier <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> [for inspiration], and when I finally met him, he said, \u2018You know, you can use my clothes [for the film],\u2019\u201d Dicks-Mireaux recalled. It turns out Stamp \u201cadores\u201d clothes and had an extensive collection, which the costumer used to pattern actor Matt Smith\u2019s slick 1960s suits.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe copied the silhouette of one of his coats for Matt,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was really fun.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
