They\u2019re also a fun way to personalize your PC, but Windows 11 hides them away by default. Here\u2019s how to set one up.<\/p>\n<p>First, click the Start button in your taskbar and type \u201cscreensaver.\u201d In the \u201cBest Match\u201d results below, click \u201cChange Screen Saver.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>(You can also find a link to the Screen Saver Settings window in the Settings <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a> under Personalization &gt; Lock Screen &gt; Screen Saver.)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-764378\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/win11_change_screen_saver.jpg?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Open Start, search &quot;Screensaver,&quot; then click &quot;Change Screen Saver.&quot;\" width=\"650\" height=\"321\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>A \u201cScreen Saver Settings\u201d window will open. In the drop-down menu below \u201cScreen Saver,\u201d select a screensaver from the list. The default choices in Windows 11 go all the way back to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/redirect.viglink.com\/?key=204a528a336ede4177fff0d84a044482&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.informit.com%2Farticles%2Farticle.aspx%3Fp%3D1192348%26amp%3BseqNum%3D14\">Windows Vista<\/a>, so they haven\u2019t been updated significantly in a while. Here\u2019s what each one does:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>3D Text:<\/strong> Text of your choice is rendered in 3D and moved around the screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Blank:<\/strong> A blank, black screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bubbles:<\/strong> Colored bubbles bounce off the borders of the screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mystify:<\/strong> Angular and curved colored lines bounce around your screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Photos:<\/strong> Show a picture slideshow on your screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ribbons:<\/strong> Multicolored ribbons swirl around your screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-764377\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/win11_select_screen_saver.jpg?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Select a screensaver in the drop-down menu.\" width=\"650\" height=\"500\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve made your selection, you can change the screensaver\u2019s settings by clicking the \u201cSettings\u201d button. You can also preview what it will look like when activated my clicking \u201cPreview.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Next, use the box beside \u201cWait\u201d to set the screensaver delay in minutes. If your PC stays idle for this length of time, your screensaver will activate automatically. And if you\u2019d like for your PC to lock (and display the sign-in screen) when the screensaver exits, check the box beside \u201cOn resume, display logon screen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-764375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/win11_screensaver_wait.jpg?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Choose a time in the &quot;Wait&quot; window.\" width=\"650\" height=\"355\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>After that, click \u201cOK,\u201d then close the Screen Saver Settings window. Your screen saver will activate after the time you specified as long as the PC has received no keyboard or mouse input during that time. If you change your mind, you can revisit the \u201cScreen Saver Settings\u201d window by searching for \u201cscreensaver\u201d in Start, the Settings app, or in Control Panel.
