Understand. Act\u201d training is based on core principles of critical race theory, including \u201csystemic racism,\u201d \u201cwhite privilege\u201d and \u201cwhite fragility,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.city-journal.org\/att-racial-reeducation-program\">according to\u00a0City Journal\u2019s Christopher Rufo<\/a>, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute.<\/p>\n<p>Employees are encouraged to study resources, including one that asks, \u201cWhite America, if you want to know who\u2019s responsible for racism, look in the mirror,\u201d Rufo said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhite people, you are the problem,\u201d the article reportedly tells employees of why the US is a \u201cracist society.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegardless of how much you say you detest racism, you are the sole reason it has flourished for centuries,\u201d author Dahleen Glanton writes, insisting that \u201cAmerican racism is a uniquely white trait\u201d and that \u201cBlack people cannot be racist,\u201d according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>Employees are also encouraged to participate in a \u201c21-Day Racial Equity Habit Challenge\u201d that relies on the concepts of \u201cwhiteness,\u201d \u201cwhite privilege,\u201d and \u201cwhite supremacy,\u201d Rufo said.<\/p>\n<p>Employees should \u201cdo one action [per day for 21 days] to further [their] understanding of power, privilege, supremacy, oppression, and equity,\u201d the challenge says.<\/p>\n<p>AT&amp;T\u2019s CEO, John Stankey, launched the program last year, telling staff they have an \u201cobligation to engage on this issue of racial injustice,\u201d Rufo said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/10\/att-white-problem-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"Sign with logo at the regional headquarters of telecommunications company AT&amp;T.\" class=\"wp-image-19969483\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/10\/att-white-problem-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/10\/att-white-problem-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/10\/att-white-problem-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Part of AT&amp;T\u2019s race training reportedly says, \u201cWhite people, you are the problem.\u201d<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Rufo said he got the documents from a senior employee who told him that AT&amp;T managers are now assessed annually on diversity issues.<\/p>\n<p>White employees are \u201ctacitly expected to confess their complicity in \u2018white privilege\u2019 and \u2018systemic racism,&#8217;\u201d and asked to sign a loyalty pledge to \u201ckeep pushing for change,\u201d Rufo said the whistleblower told him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you don\u2019t do it \u2026 you\u2019re [considered] a racist,\u201d the senior employee allegedly said.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>A spokesman for AT&amp;T told The Post Friday that all the resources were offered completely on \u201con a voluntary basis\u201d as part of the company\u2019s mission to \u201cbuild a workplace that is civil, inclusive and understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The rep ripped Rufo\u2019s report as \u201cfilled with misinformation and inaccuracies, including the ridiculous claim that we require employees to participate in \u2018race reeducation\u2019 exercises.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is blatantly untrue,\u201d the rep told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe simply provide employees with resources they can use on a voluntary basis to facilitate conversations that are important to them, our customers and the communities we serve,\u201d the rep said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether an employee uses these resources or not is up to them, and does not affect their annual performance rating.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a long and proud history of valuing diversity, equality, and inclusion, and will continue to do so.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
