Today we look back to the beginning &#8211; what did those involved in the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> actually have to say when it started on RTL II in 2002?  Find out here &#8230;<\/strong><span id=\"more-37398\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been 19 years since the first episode of &#8220;Detective Conan&#8221; flickered on German television screens.  At that time, the series was still running on the former number one <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/anime-manga\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"6\" title=\"Anime || Manga\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">anime<\/a> broadcaster &#8211; RTL II. But even before the anime made its debut in Germany on April 10, 2002, it was available on the website in March of the same year <strong><em>AnimeDigital.de<\/em><\/strong>  read an accompanying review.  The special thing about it is that the <strong>Statements from two German participants<\/strong> were published.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the site has not existed for a long time, which is why we rummaged through the Internet archive in order to be able to present these statements to you today in a new splendor!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Translators_statement\"><\/span>Translator&#8217;s statement:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-37402 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.manime.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Susanne-Schmidt-Wussow-e1538945773579.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"188\" height=\"183\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">The first statement comes from <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Susanne Schmidt-Wussow<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">, the translator of many &#8220;Detective Conan&#8221; episodes at the time.  She made the rough translation on which the dialogue book was ultimately based.  Here are their impressions from 2002:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00ab[I]I did the rough translations for MME.  I translated all 102 episodes except for about 12 episodes.  That was a lot of fun because the series is not as \u201ckid stuff\u201d as Digimon and Co. (sorry, I&#8217;m not a big anime fan, although Digimon was translated by a friend of mine and certainly very good &#8230;), but You have to do some real research now and then for the translation (for example, I&#8217;ve never learned as much about baseball, golf or mah-jongg as in some of the Conan episodes!) and above all because it is really funny.  Not what the Japanese often find funny and what for me at least barely misses hysterical silliness, but dry, quick joke that is also well received in German &#8230; \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Statement_from_the_producer_of_the_German_songs\"><\/span>Statement from the producer of the German songs:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37403 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.manime.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Andy-Knote-e1538945839676.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"182\" height=\"227\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Also the German music producer <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Andy Knote <\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">made a brief statement.  He is one of the founders of the &#8220;Toyco&#8221; studios and was involved in the well-known German versions of the &#8220;Detective Conan&#8221; openings.  Here is his statement:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>\u00abSings the two songs <strong>Gerry Koehler<\/strong>[,] a brand new member of the \u201cToyco family\u201d.  I have the lyrics together with <strong>Henk Flemming<\/strong> created, we stayed pretty close to the original.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>At first I was a bit surprised, because the songs are unusually \u201cpithy\u201d, they have little to do with Japanese pop.
