She is poised to star across the upcoming season 13 alternately titled\u00a0<em>Doctor Who: Flux.\u00a0<\/em>Then, there are a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of specials slated for next year. Presumably, she\u2019ll make her exit at the end of the final one, with Russell T. Davies coming on board as showrunner after the fact.<\/p>\n<p>One thing that has been interesting to learn leading up to Sunday night\u2019s premiere is rather simple: Jodie wasn\u2019t sure at one point that the end would be coming soon. Speaking to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/tv\/doctor-who-jodie-whittaker-final-season-interview\/\">Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, she made it clear that she faced a lot of uncertainty and debate as she and Chris Chibnall talked about saying goodbye together:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cThere was a point where I was definitely like, \u2018Uhh, I don\u2019t know,&#8217;\u201d says the actress. \u201cWe started this [season] and I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t know if I\u2019m going to be able to commit to this decision.\u2019 Wonderfully, going into it, it didn\u2019t feel like either of us were being held to our own conversation. It was still very much, between me and him, a very active conversation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cBut at the point when you\u2019re filming and you go, \u2018Right, what are we doing?,\u2019 there was just something about it that was like, \u2018I think it is the right time.\u2019 I know at some point there will be another Doctor, and I feel I can wholeheartedly give them this, through tears, and go, \u2018Aww, mate, you lucky f\u2014er, you are being given an absolute pearl.\u2019 I want people to know that I really did fully throw myself into it and give it all I\u2019ve got so that I\u2019ve not shortchanged anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve always believed that Jodie put her all into this character and over the years, she\u2019s allowed us to see an iteration of The Doctor that is fun, energetic, but also curious and heartfelt.
