We\u2019ve heard constant rumblings about Netflix bringing games to its platform. Now, the company has officially announced<\/a> that its first set of games are available to subscribers with Android devices.<\/p>\n

Netflix is currently pushing a bunch of mobile games to its platform, so if you were expecting to play console games or anything of that sort, you\u2019re going to be disappointed. Still, the company has a pretty solid set of games ready for day one, including a couple of\u00a0Stranger Things games that should make fans of the show happy.<\/p>\n

In total, there are five games available from four different developers. Frosty Pop created\u00a0Shooting Hoops<\/em> and\u00a0Teeter Up<\/em>.\u00a0BonusXP made\u00a0Stranger Things: 1984<\/em> and\u00a0Stranger Things 3: The Game<\/em>. Finally, developers Amuzo and Rogue Games teamed up to create\u00a0Card Blast<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In a blog post<\/a> formally announcing the arrival of mobile games, Netflix said, \u201cWhether you\u2019re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone. We\u2019re in the early days of creating a great gaming experience, and we\u2019re excited to take you on this journey with us.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the selection of games is somewhat limited, Netflix says, \u201cWe\u2019re excited to continue improving our mobile gaming experience and adding to our entertainment offering in the months ahead.\u201d That means there will be other stuff to play in the future, but we\u2019ll have to wait.<\/p>\n

The company pointed out that games are included as part of your subscription. There\u00a0are no\u00a0ads, additional fees, or in-app purchases. That means they won\u2019t cost anything other than the Netflix subscription you already have.<\/p>\n

Right now, Netflix\u2019s games are available on Android in the existing Netflix app<\/a>, and iOS is scheduled to happen later.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
