{"id":361800,"date":"2021-11-03T03:03:28","date_gmt":"2021-11-03T00:03:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/saved-by-the-bell-reboot-to-pay-tribute-to-late-dustin-diamond\/"},"modified":"2021-11-03T03:03:28","modified_gmt":"2021-11-03T00:03:28","slug":"saved-by-the-bell-reboot-to-pay-tribute-to-late-dustin-diamond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/saved-by-the-bell-reboot-to-pay-tribute-to-late-dustin-diamond\/","title":{"rendered":"#&#8217;Saved by the Bell&#8217; reboot to pay tribute to late Dustin Diamond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#&#8217;Saved by the Bell&#8217; reboot to pay tribute to late Dustin Diamond<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>Remembering an old friend.<\/p>\n<p>The second season of the \u201cSaved by the Bell\u201d reboot \u2014 dropping on Peacock Nov. 24 \u2014 will pay a heartwarming tribute to original <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> star, Dustin Diamond.<\/p>\n<p>Diamond, who starred in the 1989 parent series as Samuel \u201cScreech\u201d Powers, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/02\/01\/dustin-diamond-dead-at-44-after-cancer-battle\/\">died at 44<\/a> in February after a brief battle with cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Screech was mentioned in the first season\u00a0of the streaming service\u2019s revival, however, the actor wasn\u2019t invited on as a guest star.<\/p>\n<p>Executive producer\u00a0Franco Bario <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2021\/tv\/features\/saved-by-the-bell-season-2-dustin-diamond-tribute-1235092749\/\">explained to Variety<\/a> that he conversed with Diamond before the Season 1 premiere to \u201cfill him in on the Screech mentions in the first season and how those may lead us to possible stories that would include him in Season 2.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Bario and showrunner Tracey Wigfield were set on paying tribute to Diamond after his passing and wanted to celebrate his life and work.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"682\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/saved-by-the-bell-146.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=682\" alt=\"dustin diamond\" class=\"wp-image-20010802\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/saved-by-the-bell-146.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1023 1023w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/saved-by-the-bell-146.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=682 682w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/saved-by-the-bell-146.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=341 341w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/saved-by-the-bell-146.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 682px) 100vw, 682px\"\/><figcaption>Diamond starred in the 1989 parent series as Samuel \u201cScreech\u201d Powers.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">\u00a9NBC\/Courtesy Everett Collectio<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t know him and I hadn\u2019t met him,\u201d Wigfield said. \u201cJust thinking about it as a fan, I knew we wanted to do more than just putting a picture of him up at the end.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Original cast members Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Mario Lopez,  Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen and Lark Voorhies all made guest <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>earances on the revival. That, I wanted to put on the screen, but I just wanted to make sure we were being as sensitive as possible. There was a real guy who had people who loved him. You don\u2019t want to make any jokes or talk about it in any way that might hurt anyone\u2019s feelings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scenes from Diamond\u2019s time on the original series will also appear in the premiere episode. Bario stated that the clips chosen would be very specific because \u201ca lot of what Screech was is known for was being the butt of a joke or being an outrageous character, and what we were hoping for was using the clips to show how important he was to the show, but also to the other characters in the show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the reboot premiered last year, sans an appearance by Diamond, the show revealed\u00a0Screech\u2019s absence and noted that the character was living on the International Space Station with his robot named Kevin.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
