The event was part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a>ing \u201cOddities and Curiosities Expo,\u201d which features occult art and sideshow performances, and promotes itself as the nation\u2019s foremost community of \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/odditiesandcuriositiesexpo.com\/\">all things weird<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt makes me really feel saddened that this gentleman was not given the dignity and the respect that he deserved and what he thought and his family thought that would be h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening to his body,\u201d Mike Clark, a funeral director in Louisiana, told the Seattle outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Clark reportedly prepared Saunders\u2019 body before it was given to Med Ed Labs, a Las Vegas company. His family members were under the impression his corpse would be used for private medical research, not as a centerpiece of the traveling freak show, the report said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was totally horrified,\u201d Clark told the station. \u201cOur whole staff was horrified that this is what had happened to a gentleman that he and his family thought that his body was going for the advancement of medical students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jeremy Ciliberto, the expo\u2019s organizer, told KING 5 that Saunders and his family did give consent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can guarantee that that man knew his body would be used for medical research,\u201d the founder of Death<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Science<\/a>.org reportedly said.<\/p>\n<p>Med Ed Labs accused Ciliberto of being \u201cbeyond\u201d dishonest about his intent for the corpse, according to the station.<\/p>\n<p>Ciliberto canceled a public autopsy in Seattle on Halloween following blowback from the article over the Oct. 17 event, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.king5.com\/article\/news\/investigations\/death-science-cadaver-dissection-class-canceled\/281-1114b3b1-5a20-493e-86a5-99b972575b8c\">the outlet reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe feel that this was not respectful and certainly not ethical,\u201d Kimberly DiLeo, the chief medical death investigator for the Multnomah County, Oregon Medical Examiner, reportedly said.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
