\n Devin Clark joined athletes protesting racial injustice during UFC 250 Saturday night, taking a knee and raising his right fist during his introduction in the octagon.<\/p>\n

Clark went on to hand Alonzo Menifield his first loss during a light heavyweight bout at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, winning by unanimous decision before\u00a0he and his entire corner raised their fists together inside the ring, too.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old Clark did not speak after the fight because he was transported to a local hospital to tend to an eye injury.<\/p>\n

Clark\u2019s actions come in the wake of protests that have broken out across the country since the police-involved killing of George Floyd, a black man from Minneapolis. The UFC paid tribute to Floyd before an event last week.<\/p>\n

UFC president Dana White also said he supported fighters exercising their freedom of speech just one day before Clark showed his solidarity in the ring.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause we should,\u201d White said last week. \u201cWhat happ<\/a>ened was horrible and it\u2019s something really affecting this country right now and the world. There\u2019s riots going on everywhere, across the world, right now. It was the right thing to do.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
