“#The Hinokami Chronicles Adds Rui and Akaza to Versus<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles<\/em> has received a new update that adds the Lower Rank Five demon Rui and the Upper Three demon Akaza to the 3D fighting game<\/a>\u2019s Versus Mode. The intro trailers for both characters were released last week on October 27.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are also new online missions which allow players to earn Kimetsu points, the game\u2019s currency.<\/span><\/p>\n

The post-launch update is the first of three that are planned for Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles<\/em>. As with this update, the next two will also add playable demons to Versus Mode.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Starting today, Rui (Lower Five) and Akaza (Upper Three) of the Twelve Kizuki join the Versus mode.<\/p>\n

Players can also challenge themselves in new online missions to earn Kimetsu Points.<\/p>\n

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles<\/em> launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series<\/a>, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 14 in Japan and October 15 worldwide. Aside from the tag team-based Versus Mode, the game has an Adventure Mode that tackles both the events of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba<\/em> anime<\/a> series\u2019 first season and Demon Slayer \u2013 Kimetsu no Yaiba \u2013 The Movie: Mugen Train<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was announced on October 27 that the game had shipped over one million units worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sega Asia describes the game as:<\/span><\/p>\n

Become the Demon Slayer, Tanjiro Kamado, to fight off the demons threatening humanity in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human, as well as to avenge the death of his family by hunting down the demon who killed them.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
