{"id":362871,"date":"2021-11-05T15:57:33","date_gmt":"2021-11-05T12:57:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/rust-armorers-attorney-says-she-didnt-think-live-rounds-could-be-in-dummy-box\/"},"modified":"2021-11-05T15:57:33","modified_gmt":"2021-11-05T12:57:33","slug":"rust-armorers-attorney-says-she-didnt-think-live-rounds-could-be-in-dummy-box","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/rust-armorers-attorney-says-she-didnt-think-live-rounds-could-be-in-dummy-box\/","title":{"rendered":"#&#8217;Rust&#8217; armorer&#8217;s attorney says she didn&#8217;t think live rounds could be in dummy box"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#&#8217;Rust&#8217; armorer&#8217;s attorney says she didn&#8217;t think live rounds could be in dummy box<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>The embattled armorer on the set of Alec Baldwin\u2019s Western flick \u201cRust\u201d insisted she \u201cnever in a million years\u201d thought there could be live rounds on set.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement through her lawyer Thursday, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 24, defended her work on the movie.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHannah Gutierrez-Reed would like to add a few points to the continuing narrative on the tragic events surrounding the shooting on the Rust set,\u201d attorney Jason Bowles<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/movies\/rust-shooting-armorer-set-sabotage-inspected-guns-live-rounds-statement\/\"> told People<\/a> in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst, Hannah was incredibly safety conscious and took her job very seriously from the moment she started on Oct. 4,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe did firearms training for the actors as well as Mr. Baldwin, she fought for more training days and she regularly emphasized to never point a firearm at a person,\u201d Bowles continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNever in a million years did Hannah think that live rounds could have been in the \u2018dummy\u2019 Round box. She inspected the rounds that she loaded into the firearms that day. She always inspected the rounds. She did again right before handing the firearm to Mr. Halls, by spinning the cylinder and showing him all of the rounds and then handing him the firearm,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo one could have anticipated or thought that someone would introduce live rounds into this set,\u201d Bowles added.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Gorence, another attorney for Gutierrez-Reed, told <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/11\/03\/movies\/rust-shooting-armorer-hannah-gutierrez-reed.html?smid=tw-nytimes&amp;smtyp=cur\">the New York Times<\/a> that she had loaded revolver and two other guns with dummy rounds for an afternoon filming session, placed socks over them to prevent passersby from picking them up, and went off to lunch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWas there a duty to safeguard them 24\/7?\u201d Gorence told the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>paper. \u201cThe answer is no, because there were no live rounds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The account contradicts a Santa Fe Sheriff\u2019s Office affidavit that said Gutierrez-Reed told investigators the gun had been locked in a safe during a lunch break prior to the fatal shooting during a rehearsal.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
