“#’This Is Us’ Star Susan Kelechi Watson Teases Beth Episode for Final Season<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

This Is Us<\/em> fans may be suffering withdrawal symptoms since the show\u2019s return won\u2019t happ<\/a>en until midseason, but thankfully the stars are keeping viewers fed with behind-the-scenes sneak peeks and teases.<\/p>\n

Susan Kelechi Watson, who plays fan-favorite character Beth Pearson, took to social media<\/a> to share some exciting news<\/a> regarding her role on the show. Posting a photo of a script for Season 6\u2019s sixth installment, the title is revealed to be \u201cOur Little Island Girl: Part II.\u201d This is a reference to the Season 3 Beth-centric episode in which viewers got a peek into the character\u2019s life starting from childhood and ranging to the point in time when she met Randall (Sterling K. Brown).<\/p>\n

Not only does the episode return to Beth\u2019s central storyline, but Susan Kelechi Watson is an actual co-writer on the installment alongside Eboni Freeman. \u201cToday baby takes her 1st steps,\u201d Kelechi Watson teased in her caption, adding, \u201cEpisode 606 starts filming today.\u201d<\/p>\n

She goes on to thank Freeman and series<\/a> creator Dan Fogelman, writing that she \u201ccouldn\u2019t have done this without my fabulous co parent @ebonifreeman who also wrote Our Little Island Girl part 1. She is Queen. And the biggest shout out to Sir Daniel Fogelman who called me up and said \u2018I know you wanna write\u2026 wanna write this episode?\u2019 I meannnn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also, according to Kelechi Watson\u2019s script, Kevin Hooks, who previously helmed episodes like \u201cThe Waiting Room,\u201d \u201cR & B,\u201d \u201cA Hell of a Week: Part 1,\u201d and \u201cA Hell of a Week: Part 2,\u201d will return to direct this episode.<\/p>\n

In the first part of the Beth-centric story, Kelechi\u2019s onscreen cousin Melanie Liburd and mother Phylicia Rashad were also integral, but it will remain to be seen if they\u2019ll return as Zoe and Carol.
