The U.S. central bank decided to unwind its $120-billion-a-month asset-purchase program to tame the persistently rising consumer prices and bring them down to its intended 2% target.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But the Fed officials stuck to their long-term view that inflation is \u201ctransitory\u201d\u00a0in nature, eventually deciding to keep their benchmark interest rates near zero. That kept Bitcoins overall bullish momentum intact, given its high returns in the period of\u00a0ultra-low interest rates and massive bond-buying.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ETH_price_technicals\"><\/span>ETH price technicals<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Ether\u2019s technicals supported an upside outlook, with the price trending eying a run-up toward its prevailing ascending channel\u2019s resistance trendline \u2014 near the $4,800\u2013$5,000 area \u2014 as shown in the chart below.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-11\/9b7997b1-1f48-4c38-9c2e-3e7ef6df4e5a.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>ETH\/USD daily price chart featuring its ascending channel setup.
