\nDrake was a surprise guest during Travis Scott\u2019s ill-fated set at the Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas on Friday night (November 5). But as the show went on, a tragedy was unfolding in the crowd of app<\/a>roximately 50,000 people as they rushed the stage. Eight people died and over 300 others were injured, bringing the two-day event to an abrupt and horrific end.<\/p>\n

Scott has spoken out multiple times since the news<\/a> broke\u00a0and has promised to pay for the funerals of the deceased. Now, Drake has broken his silence. On Monday (November 8), the Canadian superstar reluctantly headed to Instagram and expressed his sorrow.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve spent the past few days truing to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself.\u00a0My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to pray for all of them, and will be of service in any way I can. May God be with you all.\u201d<\/p>\n
