The auction, titled \u2018The Now Evening Auction\u2019 features Banksy\u2019s <em>Trolley Hunters<\/em> and <em>Love Is In The Air<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p>Although the bidding prices will be announced in ETH, winning bidders have the option to pay for the works in either Ether, Bitcoin (BTC) or USD Coin (USDC).<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-11\/c376ea17-cf7c-4ecf-95e7-9a46cea81b3c.jpg\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\">Banksy&#8217;s <em>Trolley Hunters<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Sotheby\u2019s first began accepting BTC and ETH as payment back in May for a different Banksy auction. It has financially supported NFT projects, including providing seed funding for NFT studio and blockchain tech platform Mojito. It also launched a Metaverse-<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">theme<\/a>d NFT platform with Pranksy, PleasrDAO, Paris Hilton, and others serving as curators in October.<\/p>\n<p>Sotheby\u2019s is not alone among auction houses involved in crypto and blockchain, however. <\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related:\u00a0NFTs could mark a resurgence in art galleries<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Competing auction house <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/observer.com\/2021\/05\/christies-nfts-larva-labs-crpytopunks\/\">Christie\u2019s<\/a> was the first to accept ETH as payment in a CryptoPunks auction it held last May. Christie\u2019s also famously auctioned off Beeple\u2019s<em> The First 5000 Days<\/em> for over $69 million. <\/p>\n<p>The <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phillips.com\/detail\/banksy\/HK010121\/22\">Phillips<\/a> auction house accepted ETH and BTC in its auction for Banksy\u2019s <em>Laugh Now Panel A<\/em>, which sold for over $3 million last June.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
