“#Halo Infinite\u2019s Free Multiplayer Is Now Available”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Going into the Xbox anniversary, many rumors circulated that Microsoft would surprise everyone by releasing Halo Infinite\u2019s<\/em> free multiplayer mode early, and that\u2019s exactly what Microsoft did. The multiplayer beta is available now for Xbox and PC.<\/p>\n

This was Microsoft\u2019s worst kept secret, as almost everyone seems to have heard that company was going to launch the multiplayer portion of its next massive game<\/a> on November 15, 2021. Forbes<\/a> did an exhaustive dive into all of the evidence, and it was compelling. And, of course, it all turned out to be correct.<\/p>\n

You can currently download<\/a> the Halo Infinite<\/em> multiplayer beta on Xbox One, Xbox Series<\/a> S, Series X, and PC. As mentioned, it\u2019s completely free, and you don\u2019t need to preorder the separate campaign mode to get access to the entirety of the multiplayer mode.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re on Xbox, you can search for Halo Infinite or go to Microsoft\u2019s website<\/a> to start the download. For those looking to get the game on PC, you can go to the Steam page<\/a> to download it.<\/p>\n

However, if you\u2019re trying to play on Xbox, you might have some issues. Many users (myself included) are getting a blue screen after downloading the game. That\u2019s because it\u2019s only downloading the small preload file, and it appears that the actual multiplayer game hasn\u2019t fully launched yet.<\/p>\n

Update, 11\/15\/21 2:29 pm Eastern:<\/strong> After deleting the small installed Halo Infinite<\/em> File and downloading it again, I was able to install the full version of the multiplayer beta.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In a Tweet, Halo Support addressed the situation, saying, \u201cWe\u2019re aware of an issue where players are hitting a blue screen upon trying to launch #HaloInfinite. Beta build is working through our systems and should hit your console as an update shortly.\u201d<\/p>\n
