Three men were shot in a hail of gunfire outside a Midtown recording space where a rap video was being shot on Tuesday night, sources said.<\/p>\n

At least ten shots were exchanged between two groups outside the location near the intersection West 38th Street and\u00a0Fifth Avenue at about 10:40 p.m. \u2014 sending witnesses scrambling for safety, according to sources.<\/p>\n

The violence took place after a group from Fort Greene, Brooklyn posted about the party and video on social media<\/a>. A rival group from Crown Heights noticed the posts and showed up at the event and opened fire when the Fort Greene crew left the event, sources said.<\/p>\n

One of the three victims, 24, was struck in the torso and suffered life-threatening injuries, sources said. A 27-year-old victim was hit in the abdomen and the third man, 19, was struck in the leg.<\/p>\n

All three victims were hospitalized.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Officers who were on the block when the gunfire erupted grabbed two people at the scene and took them into custody.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One of those arrested was a 17-year-old male who has 10 prior arrests including one for a shooting that took place when he was 14 years old, sources said. <\/p>\n

At least four firearms were recovered.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police are looking to question roughly two dozen people who remained inside the building after the shots rang out, according to sources.<\/p>\n

The cause of the shooting was not known on Tuesday night.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
