{"id":369937,"date":"2021-11-20T11:42:23","date_gmt":"2021-11-20T08:42:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/billy-eppler-not-planning-on-many-deals-with-brian-cashman\/"},"modified":"2021-11-20T11:42:23","modified_gmt":"2021-11-20T08:42:23","slug":"billy-eppler-not-planning-on-many-deals-with-brian-cashman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/billy-eppler-not-planning-on-many-deals-with-brian-cashman\/","title":{"rendered":"#Billy Eppler not planning on many deals with Brian Cashman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Billy Eppler not planning on many deals with Brian Cashman<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Billy Eppler spent 11 years working for the Yankees and Brian Cashman.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Now, they\u2019re sharing the spotlight in New York, with Eppler running the Mets as their new <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> manager and Cashman still in that role in The Bronx.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It figures to be an unusual dynamic for two organizations that typically haven\u2019t done many deals with each other. What I learned there, being there 11 years and having the success we did, was just the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach to the job. There were so many people there to learn from.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Eppler on Friday twice mentioned the late Gene Michael, the longtime Yankee executive who is credited for helping turn the Yankees around in the 1990s.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was very instrumental in teaching me outside of traditional qualitative assessments,\u2019\u2019 Eppler said of Michael\u2019s approach to scouting. \u201cHe taught how to evaluate a player based on concentration or focus [in addition to statistical analysis].\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But no one influenced him more than Cashman.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrian\u2019s impact on me has been monumental,\u2019\u2019 Eppler said. \u201cI take so much operational methodology from there and I\u2019m looking forward to continue to evolve and grow.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cashman said he is confident he will.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was lucky to be surrounded by Billy Eppler for a long time,\u2019\u2019 Cashman said. \u201cHe impacted us in a really strong way, a real positive way.
