The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Miko Yasu<\/strong>\u2018s Police in a Pod (Hakozume: K\u014dban Joshi no Gyakush\u016b)<\/em> manga revealed a new key visual, additional cast members, and its January 5 premiere date.<\/span><\/p>\n

The newly announced cast members include Kendo Kobayashi<\/strong> as the Deputy Chief and Rikiya Koyama<\/strong> as Lieutenant Tamotsu Houjo. Other cast members include Shion Wakayama<\/strong> as Mai Kawai, Yui Ishikawa<\/strong> as Seiko Fuji, Ryouta Suzuki<\/strong> as Seiji Minamoto, Shimba Tsuchiya<\/strong> as Takeshi Yamada, and Kana Hanazawa<\/strong> as Miwa Makitaka.<\/span><\/p>\n

The anime\u2019s staff includes Tohru Ishida<\/strong>\u00a0(Log Horizon<\/em>:\u00a0Destruction of the Round Table<\/em>\u00a0episode director) as assistant director,\u00a0Harue Ohno<\/strong>\u00a0(Chihayafuru<\/em>\u00a0Season\u00a03<\/em>) as color designer, and\u00a0Hironobu Hatanaka<\/strong> as photography director.\u00a0Kazuyuki Hashimoto<\/strong>\u00a0(Back Arrow<\/em>\u00a0art director) and\u00a0Norihiko Yokomatsu<\/strong>\u00a0(Godzilla Singular Point<\/em> art director) are handling the art boards. Other staff include Yuzo Sato<\/strong>\u00a0(Magical Warfare<\/em>) as director, Ryuunosuke Kingetsu <\/strong>(Ulysses: Jeanne d\u2019Arc and the Alchemist Knight<\/em>) as series<\/a> composer, and\u00a0Kei Tsuchiya<\/strong>\u00a0(Laidbackers<\/em>) as character designer.\u00a0MADHOUSE<\/strong>\u00a0is the animation production studio.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Police in a Pod<\/em> manga began in 2017 and has 18 tankoubon volumes as of August 2021. The manga has received a collaboration story published in the Keisatsu Koron magazine, a spin-off manga, and a live-action TV drama that premiered in July 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n
