There are two primary methods you can use the dock: as a \u201chistory\u201d of the apps you\u2019ve recently used, or as a static menu of favorites that you can launch without having to navigate all of your apps.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-768984\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/apple_watch_dock.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Apple Watch dock\" width=\"368\" height=\"448\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>At the bottom of the dock is an \u201cAll Apps\u201d button which will take you to the regular Apple Watch menu (normally triggered with a tap of the digital crown).<\/p>\n<p>The side button on your Apple Watch can also be used to access your Wallet with a double-tap. If you hold the side button down you\u2019ll see a menu appear with options to turn your watch off, display your Medical ID, or call emergency services. If you hold the button down for long enough it will sound an alarm and call emergency services for you.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Customize_the_Dock_to_Make_It_More_Useful\"><\/span>Customize the Dock to Make It More Useful<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can switch between a static dock of favorite items and your last-used apps by launching the Watch app on your iPhone and tapping on Dock at the top of the list.
