{"id":370154,"date":"2021-11-21T04:29:21","date_gmt":"2021-11-21T01:29:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/mom-of-11-gets-social-media-backlash-for-not-using-contraception\/"},"modified":"2021-11-21T04:29:21","modified_gmt":"2021-11-21T01:29:21","slug":"mom-of-11-gets-social-media-backlash-for-not-using-contraception","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/mom-of-11-gets-social-media-backlash-for-not-using-contraception\/","title":{"rendered":"#Mom of 11 gets social media backlash for not using contraception"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Mom of 11 gets <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> backlash for not using contraception<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>A soon-to-be mom of 12 has told how she doesn\u2019t use contraception \u2013 and has been pregnant every year since 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Courtney Rogers, 37, was a virgin when she married her pastor husband Chris, 33, in October 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Now Courtney and Chris, from Santa Fe, New Mexico, are parents to Clint, 11, Clay, 10, Cade, 9, Callie, 9, Cash, 7, Colt 6, Case 6, Calena, 4, Caydie, 3, Coralee 2, and Caris, almost 1.<\/p>\n<p>Baby number 12 is due in March and the family saves money by using cloth n<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ies and skipping pre-packaged snacks in favour of fresh fruit they\u2019ve grown,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/fabulous\/16716965\/pregnant-mum-contraception-were-judged-families\/\">The Sun\u00a0reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Courtney, who has 29,000 Instagram followers, said she experiences trolling but doesn\u2019t care.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople judge us at times,\u201d she said. \u201cThey don\u2019t like large families or accuse us of not providing for them. It feels like the perfect family with six boys and six girls.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But sadly she has also suffered three miscarriages. \u201cI\u2019ve been pregnant every year since 2008,\u201d she said. \u201cAt times it\u2019s hard work. Keeping up with everyone\u2019s schooling and all the cleaning and laundry is a chore.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy husband works at our church plus has several side jobs to earn money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked if she used contraception she said: \u201cWe haven\u2019t really prevented pregnancies so far.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The family\u2019s day starts early. \u201cWe usually have breakfast at 8 a.m. and go straight into their schooling,\u201d she said. \u201cI stay busy with that until 11 a.m. or 11.30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do a clean-up and then have lunch. Afterwards is nap time for the babies and quiet time for the older kids. If it\u2019s a super busy day I spend that time cleaning or school.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter nap time is more school, farm chores, cleaning, and supper.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey usually get to watch a show before bed and hubby and I are usually finishing the clean-up and getting all the little ones ready for bed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBedtime is around 8 p.m. or 8.30 p.m.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And Courtney said she\u2019s happy with her life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love it,\u201d she said. \u201cI guess I\u2019m strict when it comes to schoolwork and chores. We all must work together.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, I\u2019m lenient during playtime. I don\u2019t really care what they do as long as it\u2019s safe and I try to keep holidays fun. She says she sometimes receives criticism on social media.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The family spend between $400 and $500 a week on the supermarket shop.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cut costs by raising some of our meat and all of our eggs,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>And they don\u2019t go mad at Christmas either.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIncluding Christmas presents, PJs, and outfits, we usually spend around $2000 to $3000 on Christmas,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMe and my hubby don\u2019t usually exchange gifts. It\u2019s all for the kids. I also start shopping several months before to spread the spending out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChristmas Day is always fun.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe children go to bed the night before in their new PJs and wake up early to open their stockings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe usually have a quick, but fun breakfast \u2013 something like cinnamon rolls and breakfast burritos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe hubby then reads the nativity story from the Bible and then we open gifts. Afterwards, the house is filled with happy messes and festive Christmas music.
