{"id":370451,"date":"2021-11-21T23:56:35","date_gmt":"2021-11-21T20:56:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/nj-ad-blitz-slams-ben-jerrys-israel-boycott\/"},"modified":"2021-11-21T23:56:35","modified_gmt":"2021-11-21T20:56:35","slug":"nj-ad-blitz-slams-ben-jerrys-israel-boycott","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/nj-ad-blitz-slams-ben-jerrys-israel-boycott\/","title":{"rendered":"#NJ ad blitz slams Ben &#038; Jerry&#8217;s Israel boycott"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#NJ ad blitz slams Ben &amp; Jerry&#8217;s Israel boycott<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>A pro-Israel group is launching a $500,000 ad campaign to put the squeeze on Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s parent company over the ice-cream maker\u2019s refusal to peddle its products in Israeli-controlled Palestinian territories.<\/p>\n<p>The organization StandWithUS is <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.standwithus.com\/\">posting billboards in North Jersey<\/a>, including near Unilever\u2019s Englewood Cliffs headquarters there, that say, \u201cDon\u2019t Let Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s Melt Your Profits,\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Let Antisemitism Melt Your Brand.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Unilever is Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s parent company, but the ice-cream manufacturer is run by an independent board.<\/p>\n<p>The ads include a picture of a pint of \u201cDouble Standard Fudge\u201d ice cream with the word \u201chypocrites\u201d across the top.<\/p>\n<p>Another billboard reads \u201cDon\u2019t Let Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s Antisemitism Kill Your Profits\u201d \u2014 with Unilever brands Dove, Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s, Lipton and Axe listed on the top.<\/p>\n<p>The billboards <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/corporatehate.com\/\">include the Web site \u201ccorporatehate.com\u201d<\/a> at the bottom. Kathy Hochul also put Unilever on notice that she will enforce an executive order that bars the Empire State government from investing in firms that engage in BDS actions against Israel.<\/p>\n<p>New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer met recently with Unilever CEO Alan Jope over B&amp;J\u2019s action against Israel \u2014 but stopped short of yanking the Big <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le\u2019s $187 million in pension investments in Unilever stock. But it has argued that B&amp;J\u2019s limited boycott in the West Bank is not a boycott of Israel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnilever has a strong and longstanding commitment to our business in Israel.
