Battle Creek, Michigan; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and Memphis, Tennessee, agreed to head back to the bargaining table even after the union rejected Kellogg\u2019s\u00a0\u201cLast Best Final Offer\u201d\u00a0earlier this month. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to getting back to the table and are committed to negotiating in good faith,\u201d Kellogg said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The employees \u2013 fed up over an assortment of pay and benefits issues \u2013 have been on strike since the beginning of October, threatening the supply of namesake brands like Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le Jack and forcing the cereal maker to continue \u201coperations with other resources\u201d to try and mitigate supply disruptions.<\/p>\n<p>Last week the company said it\u2019s resorted to \u201ctapping our global manufacturing network and expertise\u201d in addition to \u201ccurrently hiring to fill roles\u201d at the four plants that make the company\u2019s well-known brands of cereal.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kellogg is also claiming in a new lawsuit that striking workers with the local union in Omaha\u00a0have even been physically blocking entrances to its cereal plant and intimidating replacement workers as they enter the facility.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/kellogs_23.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"Boxes of Kellogg's cereal including Apple Jacks\" class=\"wp-image-20232698\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/kellogs_23.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1536 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/kellogs_23.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/kellogs_23.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>The strike could add to the food-supply shortages already frustrating stores.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The company also said in the lawsuit that people picketing outside the plant have threatened the lives of people working there, including \u201cthreatening that an individual\u2019s wife and young children will be assaulted (including sexually) while he is away from home working with Kellogg.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kellogg said it\u2019s hoping to \u201creach an agreement soon so our employees can get back to work and back to their lives.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The two sides tried to negotiate new terms earlier this month but the union rejected Kellogg\u2019s final offer, which expired at midnight on Nov. 11, saying it \u201cwas filled with conditions and terms as to what was acceptable to Kellogg\u2019s\u201d but \u201care unacceptable to our members.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe company\u2019s last best and final offer did not achieve what union members are asking for: a predictable pathway to fully vested employment without takeaways,\u201d a spokesperson for the union previously said in a statement to FOX Business. \u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/kellogs_29.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"Signs protesting the use of &quot;scabs&quot;\" class=\"wp-image-20232727\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/kellogs_29.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1536 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/kellogs_29.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/11\/kellogs_29.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Some replacement workers allege strikers have assailed and threatened them.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Bloomberg via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The union is arguing that the \u201cBCTGM negotiating committee has proposed a progression to the company\u2019s two-tiered system based on time, defining a pathway based on the number of years an employee is with the company. Workers have stated repeatedly they want improvements to the company\u2019s transitional language.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Kellogg\u2019s said its final offer addressed the union\u2019s \u201cprimary concerns\u201d and argued that the union wasn\u2019t interested or willing to revisit its proposals or explore \u201ccreative solutions to resolve issues\u201d in order to end the ongoing contract negotiations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The company further claimed that the union rejected its final offer without even putting it before employees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe asked the union to allow our employees to vote the offer,\u201d said Kellogg CEO Steve Cahillane. \u201cThe union im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely rejected it and told us they would not put it before employees for a vote.
