{"id":371625,"date":"2021-11-24T05:00:53","date_gmt":"2021-11-24T02:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/city-council-passes-plan-for-more-housing-in-gowanus-brooklyn\/"},"modified":"2021-11-24T05:00:53","modified_gmt":"2021-11-24T02:00:53","slug":"city-council-passes-plan-for-more-housing-in-gowanus-brooklyn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/city-council-passes-plan-for-more-housing-in-gowanus-brooklyn\/","title":{"rendered":"#City Council passes plan for more housing in Gowanus, Brooklyn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#City Council passes plan for more housing in Gowanus, Brooklyn<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The City Council <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roved the redevelopment of Brooklyn\u2019s Gowanus neighborhood Tuesday, in a plan that will bring 8,500 new apartments to the area including 3,000 for middle-class and lower-income families.<\/p>\n<p>Gowanus sits between two of the borough\u2019s priciest neighborhoods \u2014 Park Slope and Cobble Hill.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are bringing to the floor for a vote today this rezoning that I really believe represents the way forward to build a more inclusive and sustainable city,\u201d said local Councilman Brad Lander (D-Brooklyn) in the Council Chambers Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was not a plan brought to the community by a developer or even by City Hall,\u201d added Lander, who is the incoming city comptroller.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt began by people saying, \u2018What do we want for the future of our neighborhood?
