Upcoming TV anime<\/a>\u00a0A Couple of Cuckoos<\/strong><\/em> revealed<\/span><\/a>\u00a0its third collaboration visual today, this time with\u00a0Erika and Rena from\u00a0Higurashi: When They Cry<\/strong><\/em>‘s newest TV anime series<\/a> wearing each other’s outfits with Erika welding the knife that Rena is known for\u2013that seemingly looks used. The visual is part of a series that first saw Erika team up<\/span>\u00a0Emilia from\u00a0Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em>and then Ainz from Overlord<\/strong><\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n

A Couple of Cuckoos<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0has been serialized in Kodansha’s\u00a0Weekly Shonen Magazine<\/em>\u00a0since January 2020, and so far eight volumes have been released in Japan.\u00a0Its English version<\/span><\/a>‘s publisher Kodansha USA\u00a0introduces its story as below:<\/p>\n

16-year-old super-studier Nagi Umino, second-year student at the Meguro River Academy high school, was switched at birth. On his way to a dinner to meet his birth parents, he accidentally meets the brash, outspoken, Erika Amano, who is determined to make Nagi her fake boyfriend as she never wants to actually marry. But once Nagi makes it to dinner, he finds his parents have decided to resolve the hospital switch by conveniently having him marry the daughter his birth parents raised…who turns out to be none other than Erika herself!<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hiroaki Akagi\u00a0<\/b>(KARAKAI JOZU NO TAKAGI-SAN<\/i><\/b><\/span>) is the general<\/a> director of the adaptation, while\u00a0Yoshiyuki Shirahata\u00a0<\/b>(episodes of\u00a0Great Pretender<\/i><\/b>,\u00a0Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle<\/i><\/b>) is the director.\u00a0A Couple of Cuckoos <\/strong><\/em>is scheduled to broadcast in 2022.<\/p>\n
