Dogecoin has some inflationary dynamics itself that would make me reluctant to hold it,\u201d Ripple CEO said.<\/p>\n<p>Garlinghouse noted that Dogecoin has no hard limit on the total supply of coins in circulation, which makes it very different from some major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, which is c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed at 21 million coins.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was built as a joke, then it got some momentum from some high-profile people like Elon Musk,\u201d Garlinghouse added. <\/p>\n<p>Despite being skeptical about DOGE, Garlinghouse is still optimistic about the cryptocurrency market in <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">My personal views on dogecoin aside \ud83d\ude09 I think there will be many winners in this industry. The digital currency started with a supply limit of 100 billion coins, which it hit in mid-2015. Since then, Dogecoin was switched to provide an uncapped supply while limiting a reward of 10,000 DOGE per block to keep inflation under control.<\/p>\n<p>DOGE has emerged as one of the most successful cryptocurrencies in 2021, entering the list of the top 10 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization earlier this year. At the time of writing, DOGE is the 10th most-valued digital currency, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/dogecoin\">trading<\/a> at $0.22, up over 6,000% over the past year.<\/p>\n<p>Much of Dogecoin\u2019s success has apparently been associated with endorsement by Tesla CEO Elon Musk who started actively promoting DOGE on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> in 2020.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-11\/dfa0d7e9-b8f3-46a6-b5d3-6eadb33f2fcb.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Dogecoin all-time price chart. According to Binance, the ongoing issue was caused by a \u201ctechnical issue during the recent upgrade process that caused old transactions to be resent to 1,674 users.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The CEO\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1463193267336581122?s=20\">said<\/a> that he doesn\u2019t use Binance despite him trying the exchange at one point \u201cbut sign-up was too many hoops to jump through.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
