The official Twitter<\/a> account for the anime<\/a> adaptation of Ryo Shirakome<\/strong>\u2018s Arifureta \u2013 From Commonplace to World\u2019s Strongest (Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou)<\/em> light novel series<\/a> revealed a new key visual, the additional cast members, and the January 13 premiere date for the anime\u2019s upcoming second season.<\/span><\/p>\n

The newly added cast members include Katsuyuki Konishi<\/strong> as Freid Bagwa, Makoto Ishii<\/strong> as Mikhail, Noriko Shibasaki<\/strong> as Liliana S. B. Heiligh, and Rina Satou<\/strong> as Noint. The anime\u2019s returning cast members include Toshinari Fukamachi<\/strong> as Hajime Nagumo, Yuuki Kuwahara<\/strong> as Yue, Minami Takahashi<\/strong> as Shea, Yoko Hikasa<\/strong> as Tio Klarus, Saori Oonishi<\/strong> as Kaori Shirasaki, and Yumiri Hanamori<\/strong> as Shizuku Yaegashi.<\/span><\/p>\n

The anime\u2019s staff includes Akira Iwanaga<\/strong> (The Morose Mononokean<\/em>) as the anime\u2019s new director, Shoichi Sato<\/strong> returns as the script<\/a> supervisor, Chika Kojima<\/strong> returns as the character designer and chief animation director, and Ryou Takahashi<\/strong> returns as music composer. The animation production will be from asread<\/strong> and Studio Mother<\/strong>. MindaRyn<\/strong> performs the opening theme song \u201cDaylight.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The first season of Arifureta <\/em>premiered in July 2019. Funimation streamed the series as it aired and describes the story as:<\/span><\/p>\n

Hajime Nagumo and his high school class are suddenly summoned to a fantastical land as heroes. But while most of his classmates have powerful stats and abilities, Hajime does not.
