{"id":373797,"date":"2021-11-29T14:32:27","date_gmt":"2021-11-29T11:32:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/binance-resumes-doge-withdrawals-days-after-elon-musks-comments\/"},"modified":"2021-11-29T14:32:27","modified_gmt":"2021-11-29T11:32:27","slug":"binance-resumes-doge-withdrawals-days-after-elon-musks-comments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/binance-resumes-doge-withdrawals-days-after-elon-musks-comments\/","title":{"rendered":"# Binance resumes DOGE withdrawals days after Elon Musk\u2019s comments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong># Binance resumes DOGE withdrawals days after Elon Musk\u2019s comments <\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-128018ef>Binance, one of the world\u2019s largest cryptocurrency exchanges by daily trading volumes, has resumed Dogecoin (DOGE) withdrawals following a system glitch caused by the DOGE wallet upgrade.<\/p>\n<p>The exchange officially <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.binance.com\/en\/blog\/community\/the-inside-story-on-doge-withdrawals-421499824684903102\">announced<\/a> on Nov. 29 that it restarted DOGE withdrawals after experiencing a major issue where Binance users were unable to withdraw Dogecoin for 17 days.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, 1,634 users on Binance were sent old transactions due to a conflict of several DOGE wallet versions. This h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened due to a \u201ccombination of unlikely factors\u201d and ultimately affected only Binance, the exchange wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIn short, if 1) your platform had listed DOGE all the way back in 2019, at v1.14.0 2) had transactions stuck in the wallet 3) had upgraded the wallet to v1.14.2 4) AND then updated to v1.14.5 \u2014 you can have an issue.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately for Binance, we had inadvertently threaded the needle with all of the above parameters, which led to the coins being re-sent and requiring a new wallet needed to be built,\u201d the announcement reads.<\/p>\n<p>Binance emphasized that \u201cno single entity was at fault\u201d as neither Binance nor the DOGE Network had prior knowledge of the issue.<\/p>\n<p>The fix came after Tesla CEO Elon Musk brought up the issue on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> on Nov. 23, arguing that Binance\u2019s DOGE withdrawals problem was \u201cshady.\u201d Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao stated right away that the problem was related to the latest Doge wallet upgrade.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Appreciate it. I over reacted a bit due to the word \u201cshady\u201d. The KYC part is tedious, and we can\u2019t service US users. You could try <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/hSHrrlWIfF\">https:\/\/t.co\/hSHrrlWIfF<\/a> though.
